ASA/USA/USSSA Fastpitch Bats
These fastpitch bats carry the ASA/USA and USSSA stamps most North American leagues require. Pick balanced for speed or end-loaded for pop, then confirm your association's rules with our stamps guide.
How to choose: match the stamp your association lists, then set drop by age and strength (lighter for younger hitters) and swing weight by feel.
A USA Softball certified fastpitch bat carries the USA Softball stamp, showing it meets the organization’s performance standards for sanctioned play. ASA rebranded as USA Softball, so you’ll still see both names used. Shop our full selection of USA Softball and USSSA fastpitch bats.
Both are certifications for fastpitch play, each tied to its own organization and tournaments. Many fastpitch bats carry multiple stamps, so one bat can be legal in several associations. Always check which stamp your league or tournament accepts.
Rules vary between Canadian associations, provinces and age groups. Many leagues accept USA Softball or USSSA stamped bats, while international events use WBSC fastpitch bats. Confirm with your league or coach before buying.
What drop fastpitch bat should I choose?
Drop -13 to -11: younger players and those building bat speed, like the DeMarini Zenith (-13) or Easton Ghost Youth (-11)
Drop -10: the most popular drop for high school and competitive players, like the Easton Ghost Advanced (-10)
Drop -9 and -8: stronger elite and college-level hitters, like the Louisville Slugger Meta (-9) or LXT (-8)
Our fastpitch bat size guide helps you choose the right length and drop.
Alloy fastpitch bats, like the Marucci Echo DMND Alloy or Rawlings Ombre Alloy, are durable, ready to use right away and more affordable.
Composite fastpitch bats, like the Easton Ghost, DeMarini CF or Louisville Slugger LXT, offer a bigger sweet spot, less vibration and more pop once broken in.
Complete your setup with fastpitch gloves, batting gloves, a batting helmet, a bat grip and a bat bag.
