Most baseball pants are made of polyester or a polyester-spandex blend. Stretch fabrics, like the UA Utility and Gameday Vanish, move with you on every swing and slide, and lightweight versions stay cooler in summer heat. Heavier fabrics are more durable and resist tears on the base paths.

Turn them inside out, wash in cold water and hang to dry. Skip fabric softener, which can reduce the stretch and moisture-wicking properties of performance fabrics. The dryer’s heat can shrink pants and set stains.
