Youth Jackets
Youth warm-up and cold-gear jackets sized for young players, from our jackets range
In Canada, yes, it’s one of the most useful pieces of gear. Spring and fall games are often cold, and a youth cage jacket keeps kids warm in the dugout, during warm-ups and between innings, so their muscles stay loose and ready to play.
Youth jackets usually come in YS to YXL. Since they’re worn over the jersey, choose your child’s regular shirt size, or one size up if they’ll layer a hoodie or long-sleeve shirt underneath. Avoid going more than one size up, as long sleeves can get in the way when hitting and throwing.
Yes. Keeping the throwing arm warm between innings helps young pitchers stay loose and comfortable. Many leagues allow pitchers to wear a jacket on the bases. A long-sleeve jacket like the Easton Alpha Youth Long Sleeve, paired with a youth player sleeve, is a great combo.
Yes. Youth cage and batting jackets are unisex, so the same models work for boys and girls in baseball and softball.
Once they outgrow YXL, or when the sleeves get too short, move to adult S in our adult jackets.
