A fungo bat is a long, thin, lightweight bat used by coaches to hit ground balls and fly balls during fielding practice. Its design lets coaches toss the ball up and hit it with control, rep after rep, without tiring their arm. Shop our full selection of fungo bats online or in store in Laval, Saint-Hubert and Ottawa.
No. Fungo bats are made for practice only and are not designed to hit live pitching. For games, choose a certified bat from our baseball bats, fastpitch bats or slowpitch bats collections.
Our fungo bats range from 34 to 37 inches. A shorter fungo (34" to 35") gives more control for infield grounders and short drills, while a longer fungo (36" to 37") generates more leverage for deep fly balls to the outfield. Many coaches keep one of each.
Wood fungo bats, often made of maple, offer a classic feel and great balance, and are the favourite of many coaches. Aluminum fungo bats are extremely durable and can withstand heavy daily use without breaking. Both are great choices depending on your preference and budget.
We carry fungo bats from the top names in the game, including Louisville Slugger, Rawlings, Mizuno, Easton, DeMarini and B45.
